Alcansa was founded in 2005 with the vision of providing aid to distressed peoples around the world.

In the past, Alcansa Relief International has spent its time and efforts serving individuals in Afghanistan, China, and Mexico. Relief efforts have ranged from teaching hygiene and literacy, to hosting computer classes, to working with orphanages. In all of this we rely on partnership with groups already working in local communities to ensure effective, lasting works.

Currently we are focused on providing aid to refugees in America and abroad. Domestically, we provide job skills training, including a sewing class and English lessons. Our partners in the US include Reestablish Richmond, International Rescue Committee, and Church World Service.

Internationally, we partner with local community groups in Turkey that serve Iraqi and Syrian refugees by providing food staples, teaching language classes, offering first aid, and hosting seminars teaching practical skills like sewing.

In every project we are a part of, Alcansa seeks to connect communities with those in need. We do not want to give handouts, we want to provide holistic care that will contribute to enduring, healthy communities all over the world.
